First and foremost, happy holidays to everyone.

I passed my first semester of college. (I hope. Our school's system seems to be based on 'if you don't get an email that says you failed, then you passed' and I haven't gotten any yet, so fingers crossed.) Currently setting up a German tutoring program at our elementary school (silly America and its lack of early language education) before heading back to school in February. I'm kind of terrified of actually having to teach nine year olds, but if I'm lucky I ought to survive. Hopefully.

While this may not mean I'll be on like I used to, it should at least assure I can manage to sign into IRC and actually be there at least a few times a week. Which brings me to pretendy fun time business.

Officially dropping a bunch of pups, only possibly notable ones being lightsthenight and gotgutsexe. stellarmaneater is NOT being dropped, but she is on full out hiatus while I work on plotline, retcon, and actually doing something constructive with her. This brings my actual active Nexus puplist to just Terry, Emi, Ami, Maya, Elita, and GUN!Ivy, with Alfred, Hank, Alice, Rath, Ellis and Momo staying on as NPC's.

(Aile and the Robot Masters are remaining on, just not for Nexus play.)

This doesn't stop me from having like, eight half finished apps on my computer. Doesn't mean I'll actually submit any of them, but I can dream.

There is a very, very powerful negative reaction against certain forms of traditional geekery here -- particularly anime, video games, and tabletop roleplaying -- that keeps it as if not more hidden that at a less academically motivated, lower average IQ school.

It burns us, precious.

Okay, I have been meaning to make this post for a while, but I have just gotten around to it now.

I am down in Sarasota, getting ready to start college, and currently absent a stable enough internet connection to use chat programs without driving everyone nuts (sorry about that, guys).

Tropical Storm Fay is headed up the entire West Coast of Florida, so I am currently in the process of moving to higher ground! With luck, we'll be avoiding any of the faster winds and be fine.

I am just a little distracted with all this stuff, though, so I have dropped a thread with you, missed something I shouldn't have, or am ignoring a post or a question, drop me a line here and I will get to it as soon as I can! So, at the end of last month my parents get back home on s Saturday and are basically like 'Hey guess what, we bought a new house!' About that level of casual...ness and everything. It's a vacation home in Atlantic City, NJ. The vacation home part was made obvious to me shortly, I got told where it was last week. I was obviously pleased, but if I have been scarce in the past week it's because we had to get all that worked out, bring furniture up, move in, and do all those nice things.

Do you ever want to make an entry that says "LOVE ME, I FEEL LIKE CRAP," but that's kind of not a good thing to do because it's attention whoring?

... Well. I don't care right now.

LOVE ME GUYS. I will do my best to love you in return. I WILL NOT TELL YOU HOW I PLAN TO DO THIS, but I think it would be nice for everyone to have some love right now. You can even take this as a MEME and go attention whore in your own journals. Switch it up, make it a thing where people give you new icons, or write you fic, or bring their RP characters in to be obnoxious. WHATEVER MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER. RAY DO THIS TOO WE WILL LOVE YOU.

I am off the mountains of Virginia until Independence Day! I'll be on a bit packing and prepping the house for central air tomorrow, and I'm bringing my computer, but since I don't think there's internet in the room, I probably won't be on more than once or twice.
